Two vehicles, looked after by the people who own them.
We bought Daffy for our own trips, and Daisy followed. Between our holidays they sat unused most of the year, which seemed a waste of two very good vehicles.
So we started hiring them out, carefully, and not many times a year. They are serviced according to the manufacturer’s recommended timelines, with habitation and gas checks annually, cleaned between every hire, and checked over before they go out. They are our vehicles and we use them ourselves. That is the whole explanation for the condition they are in.

How we do it
- Every enquiry read personally
- No instant-book button. Paul reads each one and decides. It takes a day, and it is why the vehicles come back the way they went out.
- A proper handover
- Not keys and a leaflet. We go round the vehicle together, water, gas, electrics, heating, the toilet, and you leave knowing how it all works.
- Booking direct
- Booking here means dealing with us directly, and talking to the person who owns the vehicle.

Where you collect
Abberton, six miles south of Colchester in Essex.
Collection from 1pm and return by 12 noon, seven days a week by arrangement. Parking on site while you are away is £5 a day for one vehicle.
